TRAVEL ITINERARY

May 29 Friday | Day 1: Selamat Datang! Welcome to Bali
The #SoFALovesBali Design Immersion begins as delegates depart Manila at 19:50, and arrive in Bali at 00:00. Upon arrival, the group will be transferred to the hotel for check-in. Overnight stay in Bali.

May 30 Saturday | Day 2: Bamboo, Sustainability & Visionary Design
We dedicate the day to regenerative architecture and sustainable thinking. Our immersion begins at Green School with an introductory session inspired by the Hardy family’s pioneering vision of bamboo innovation and holistic education. We continue to Bambuh Indah for lunch, experiencing eco-luxury grounded in vernacular intelligence. The afternoon brings us to the John Hardy Workshop, where craftsmanship, sustainability, and global branding converge. Overnight stay in Bali.

May 31 Sunday | Day 3: Craft, Landscape & Contemporary Tropical Culture
Today bridges heritage craftsmanship with Bali’s evolving design scene. We begin in Mas Village, visiting custom-furniture ateliers and artisan studios, and engaging with master woodworkers whose traditions shape global interiors. After lunch, we journey through the Tegalalang Rice Terraces—an iconic cultural landscape that reflects the island’s philosophy of harmony between nature, community, and spatial planning.

The afternoon shifts into Ubud’s contemporary creative pulse as we explore curated galleries, modern tropical concept stores, and hybrid design spaces that seamlessly blend global aesthetics with local craftsmanship. We will also visit a thoughtfully designed hotel and a traditional Balinese compound, offering insight into how domestic architecture, ritual, and hospitality continue to inform modern spatial narratives. Overnight stay in Bali.

June 1 Monday | Day 4: Textile Narratives & Contemporary Culture
We explore material culture through Threads of Life in the early morning, understanding indigenous dyeing traditions and ethical textile preservation. Participants can then enjoy free time for shopping & leisure or choose to head to the airport for late noon to evening flight check-ins, as we bring home not only memories but also renewed creative direction, expanded cultural literacy, and a deeper understanding of sustainability as a design imperative. #WeLiveDesign #SoFALovesBali

Please note: As we refine the itinerary to deliver the best experience to our participants, minor changes may occur and should be expected.  Set day itineraries may be adjusted and/or switched with another day due to weather conditions and other important factors.
