The SoFA Forge Scholarship
Scholarship Overview
The SoFA Forge Scholarship honors students demonstrating creative promise, leadership potential, and the drive to shape their future through design.
Inspired by the word forge to shape something with strength, discipline, and intention. This scholarship reflects the transformative journey of every SoFA student. It embodies SoFA Design Institute’s five core values: Whatever it Takes, Students First, Lifelong Learners, Speak Up, and Passionate About Design.
This scholarship is awarded to individuals who show leadership, creative drive, courage, and a commitment to personal and academic growth. Like metal in a forge, scholars are expected to undergo meaningful transformation as they refine their craft, mindset, and purpose throughout their SoFA journey.
Coverage of Scholarship Benefits
The SoFA Forge Scholarship is open to qualified students applying to or enrolled in the Fashion Design or Interior Design programs at SoFA Design Institute.
The recipients of SoFA Vanguard Scholarship will receive the following:
• Scholarship grants range from 30% to 100% of tuition fees, depending on the strength of the application and available slots.
• Renewable every term based on academic performance and fulfillment of scholarship responsibilities.
• They may be invited to serve as official Student Ambassadors, representing SoFA during events, school tours, and outreach activities
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
• New and accepted student in any SoFA undergraduate program.
• Have a minimum General Weighted Average (GWA) of 85% or equivalent.
• Demonstrate financial need with a gross annual income with a minimum of Php 500,00.00 and not exceeding Php 2,000,000.00.
• Demonstrate alignment with SoFA’s core values in character, collaboration, and creative practice.
• Be willing to take on a student leadership or community role if awarded.
Documentary Requirements
Applicants should submit the scanned copy of the following documents to admissions@sofa.edu.ph :
• Birth Certificate issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO)
• Certified true copy of Form 138 or Transcript of Records (TOR) from their previous school
• A 500-word essay that explains why you deserve the SoFA Vanguard Scholarship, highlighting how you embody SoFA’s five (5) core values in both your personal growth and creative journey, Whatever It Takes, Speak Up, Lifelong Learners, Students First, and Passionate about Design.
• Recommendation Letter from a Teacher or Mentor who can speak to the applicant’s leadership potential and values
• Completion of SoFA Admissions Design Test. The creative output from this assessment will be part of the scholarship evaluation.
• Latest Income Tax Return (ITR) or Certificate of Employment with compensation from both parents/guardians.
