
Interior Design Studio 1: Intro to Interior Design
This exciting course combines hands-on activities, creative exercises, and inspiring lectures to spark your passion for design thinking and mastery of interior spaces. Through four immersive modules, explore the connection between people and spaces while building a solid foundation in interior design theory and practice. This course is your first step to crafting impactful spaces, perfect for aspiring designers or those sharpening their skills. Classes will be taught mainly in English.
This course runs for one semester, or approximately 4-5 months. Students may choose between an ONLINE track and a FACE-TO-FACE track.

Week 10: Spatial Concepts: Space Programming through Bubble Diagram and Adjacency Matrix
Week 11: Planning Strategies
Week 12: Understanding Ceiling Plans
Week 13: Verticality, Three-Dimensionality, and Spatial Compositions
Week 14: Wall Systems and Elevations
Week 15: Designing in sections through Volumetrics and Creating a Sectional Model
Week 16: Furniture, Fixture and Equipment
Week 17: Color, Materials, and Texture for Interior Spaces

OUTCOME:
This course focuses on developing students' ability to draw inspiration from various aspects of their identities and experiences. Using the SoFA method, students will explore their individuality and translate it into original, conceptual ideas that address interior design challenges with creativity and innovation.
