Color Theory in Interior Design explores the principles of color and its application in interior design, combining scientific understanding with creative exploration. Students learn how color relationships, combinations, and interactions influence the way spaces are perceived and experienced, including how color can affect mood, establish visual harmony, and shape the overall character of an interior.
The course introduces students to the fundamentals of working with color, helping them understand how to make informed choices based on a space’s purpose, desired atmosphere, and design direction. Through the study of color principles and their practical applications, students develop the ability to use color more intentionally in creating cohesive and engaging interiors.
By establishing a strong foundation in color theory, the course prepares students to make more considered design decisions and apply color effectively in their future interior design projects.
