Retail Management explores the principles and strategies behind operating a successful fashion retail business, from understanding how products move through the buying cycle to determining how they are presented, distributed, and sold to consumers. Students learn how to plan and manage retail operations using the 7Ps of the retail mix: Product, Price, Promotion, Place, Processes, People, and Physical Evidence, and how each element contributes to the overall customer experience and business performance.

The course examines key aspects of retail strategy, including target market identification, competitive positioning, sustainable competitive advantage, and organizational structure. Students develop an understanding of how retailers make decisions that align their products, operations, and customer experience with their business objectives and market needs.

The course culminates in the development of a strategic retail plan built around a unique fashion concept, allowing students to apply their learning in creating a cohesive retail approach that balances brand identity, customer needs, and commercial viability.
