Fashion Merchandising and Buying
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the principles and real-world practices of fashion merchandising and buying. Students will learn to navigate the tensions between creative intuition and analytical decision-making, planning and execution, and global versus local considerations. Through the lens of the Buying Cycle, students will explore how to select the right products, at the right time and price, to maximize both customer satisfaction and profitability. The course prepares students to make informed buying decisions in today’s dynamic retail environment.
