
Retail Management
This course provides an overview of retailing within the Buying Cycle, focusing on distributing and showcasing fashion products and services. Students will learn to set up, manage, and operate fashion retail businesses through the 7P’s of the retail mix: Product, Price, Promotions, Place, Processes, People, and Physical Evidence. Emphasis is placed on strategic decision-making, including target market selection, sustainable competitive advantage, and organizational structure. The course culminates in developing a strategic retail plan centered on a unique fashion concept.

Week 6: Retail Operations & Logistics (Distribution & Supply Chain, Inventory Management)

OUTCOME:
By the end of this course, students will have a comprehensive understanding of the fashion retail industry, including its global, high-tech, and dynamic nature. Students will also gain practical knowledge of the responsibilities and challenges associated with starting and managing a fashion retail business.
