SoFA FRESH: A Warm Welcome to Our New Designers
The Student Life and Alumni Engagement (SLAE) office, led by Ms. Angelique Castro with her team Ms. Sophia Bautista and Ms. Nicole Correra, was able to successfully hold SoFA FRESH, an event devoted to welcoming the freshmen of SoFA Design Institute from the BA Fashion Design and Marketing and BS Interior Design courses.
This activity was SoFA's welcoming gesture for the beginning of Semester 1, AY 2025–2026, and providing new students with an opportunity to introduce themselves to each other and establish meaningful relationships on campus. It promoted collaboration, camaraderie, and harmony, all for the sake of design. SoFA FRESH also cemented the creative connection between fashion design and interior design students, illustrating how these courses can flourish together in tandem.
This SLAE initiative provided fresh students with a new and memorable experience packed with lots of activities and student-operated booths. There were even students who brought their own small businesses, selling ice cream, pastries, and other goodies, which contributed to the lighthearted and personalized ambiance of the event.
One of the central attractions of SoFA FRESH was the Student Organization Fair, during which SoFA's various student organizations were promoted. Each org had a booth, well designed to present what they are about and invite new members. With that, they invited freshmen to share fresh ideas and creative energies on their selected organizations.

• Estoria
Every org proudly showcased ideas related to fashion design and interior design, affirming SoFA's pluralistic creative society. Talent-sharing sessions were also included, where students expressed their artistic talents in singing, dancing, and other art performances, promoting individuality, collaboration, and expression.
SLAE and Marketing Communications also made the effort to interview the student leaders of each group, affording them the chance to express the vision and objective of their organizations, all revolving around creativity, collaboration, and community among SoFA's gifted student designers.
