Open Day and College Design Test: Your First Creative Step
The Open Day is open to everyone who is interested in pursuing a design-related path. This includes those exploring fashion design college, interior design college, as well as workshop programs, certificate courses, and short courses. Whether you are still deciding or already committed to a creative career, the Open Day welcomes all.
The Open Day and College Design Test is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of fashion design and interior design through creativity and design thinking not technical perfection.
During the test, participants respond to creative prompts that mirror real design processes used in both fashion and interior studios. You’ll be encouraged to observe, interpret, and express ideas visually, allowing your personal perspective and creativity to stand out.
Held during the Open Day at 2nd Level, Proscenium Retail Row, Rockwell Center, Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines, the Open Day and College Design Test places you in a real design environment alongside fellow aspiring creatives. It’s an experience that helps build confidence, unlock creative potential, and mark the beginning of your formal design education.
Who is it for?
The Open Day and College Design Test are open to anyone with a passion for design—especially students who want to pursue a degree in fashion or interior design. It’s ideal to bring your parents or guardians, so they can better appreciate your interest in a creative career. Design is for everyone, at every age, and it’s a part of life.
Admissions, Programs, and Campus Experience
The Admissions Team will guide attendees through available programs for Semester 2, upcoming summer workshops, and certificate courses in fashion and interior design. These opportunities are perfect for students ready to start or strengthen their creative journey.
Exclusive Open Day offers will also be available for degree programs, continuing education (1-year and 2-year programs), workshops, and certificates. The team will provide information on course details, the school calendar, tuition fees, and opportunities to pursue further studies through programs at Istituto Marangoni, a global leader in fashion and design education.
A guided campus tour will follow, allowing attendees to explore state-of-the-art facilities at Rockwell Proscenium, including classrooms, fashion design labs, interior design labs, the 3D printing lab, the Learning Resource Center (library), and the Collab Cove a hub for collaboration, events, and creative exchange.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to join, to better understand the creative path their children wish to pursue. Snacks will be served during the Open Day, with the College Design Test scheduled in the afternoon.
