Fashion Lab: Basic Draping with Ms. Irene Subang

During Ms. Irene Subang's Basic Draping class, students arrived with their supplies and concentrated on the fundamental aspect of draping. Although there were some who were still getting used to the process, their determination and enthusiasm to learn were evident. Their creations manifested the intent to perfect the skills that would eventually qualify them for the world of fashion.

Interior Design Lab: Studio II with Sir Che Ellson

In Interior Design Studio II, Sir Che Ellson conducted a comprehensive lecture on spatial design. Students all ears as he opened up about his knowledge and showed them advanced details. It was another crucial step in making their interior design skills and knowledge stronger for several of them.

Classroom Conversations: Fashion Marketing with Mr. Lev Rodriguez

Mr. Lev Rodriguez's Fashion Marketing class taught the value of presentation and communication. Students rotated through presentations of their brand concepts in a pitch-type format, mimicking real-life industry practice. The activity prepared them not only to create but to present confidently and conduct themselves in work environments.

Shared Spaces, Shared Dreams

In the hallways, fashion students carrying sketchbooks met interior students with scale models. These simple interactions showed the spirit of community at SoFA, where different disciplines share one campus and one creative vision.

The Journey Ahead

A month after the first day, the energy at SoFA is still vibrant. Students are not only settling into their classes but are also starting to define their creative portfolios and identities. What was initially an introduction has become a foundation for the work they will continue to build on throughout the remainder of the semester.
