The 1-year Fashion Design program is designed to expose students to the creative side of the fashion industry. Students will gain an understanding of and proficiency in both the design and technical practice of fashion, which will allow them to become competent, creative professionals.
The program provides a comprehensive overview of fashion design, centered on two Design Studio classes that foster creative and critical thinking. Students will learn to draw inspiration and develop innovative design concepts. Technology courses in illustration, pattern making, sewing, and draping support these studios. Through these, students will master rendering designs with varied media and learn to transform concepts into actual garments.
