In Pattern Making & Sewing 1, students will learn how to develop basic blocks based on their own or given measurements. The course will allow students to gain confidence in basic sewing and construction techniques. Students will learn how to transfer measurements to flat patterns and develop basic skills in the usage of the sewing machine.

Outcomes:
The course aims to impart on students introductory knowledge on pattern drafting for ladies’ apparel and teach basic sewing techniques using industrial machines.

This course runs for 1 semester or approximately 4 to 5 months.
Mode of Instruction:
Classes will be taught mainly using the English language.
