Interior Design Short Courses

Expanding one's design capability is a continuous process. SoFA Design Institute recognizes the need for enthusiasts, college graduates and students, and even current professionals, to gain a more comprehensive grasp of the ever-evolving practice of Interior Design.

The following are 18-session programs that touch on the varied disciplines with two courses of study - Fashion or Interior Design. Each class lasts for 3 hours and is scheduled once a week and runs for 18 sessions. Depending on the chosen subject matter, tuition ranges from PHP 16,785 to PHP 27,180


The Semester begins on the week of September 6, 2021.

- Late enrollees will be charged a penalty of PHP 1,500 per week accordingly.

COURSES

Design Studio 1: Introduction to Interior Design

This course employs a wide variety of interactive classroom experiences, creative exercises, readings and lectures to open the doors to the interior design process as an intellectual, creative and technical undertaking. It is an ideal jump off point for individuals who wish to explore a career in Interior Design.

Interior Design Drafting

Interior Design Drafting is the study of visual communication, typography, alphabet of lines and their applications and the use and care of instruments, geometric construction, use of scale, mensuration and dimensioning. The course will help students master skills in drawing necessary to express their schematic and technical ideas in design.

Schedule: Tuesday & Thursday | 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM

Visual Techniques

Visual Techniques focuses on the use of monochromatic media. It is a study of the principles of drawings as tools for expressing and documenting design ideas and concepts. Emphasis is on the development of skills in monochromatic drawing, rendering and presenting varied subjects as refined works of art.

Schedule: Tuesday & Friday | 1:00 PM - 3:30 PM (Tues) & 4:00 PM - 6:30 PM (Fri)

Theory of Interior Design

Theory of Interior Design course purpose is to expose students to theoretical aspects concerning design and its development. The students will be introduced to different theories that motivate the creation of design. Furthermore, the students will be able to exercise their ability to analyze the application of design through a theoretical standpoint

Model Making

Model Making course will help students learn and to build a model of a simple interior space using basic techniques and tools, shaping ideas into 3D forms. The course designed to help all those wishing to learn more about making scale set models, from architects, interior designers, stop-motion animators, artists, or those pursuing a hobby.

Schedule: Wednesday | 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
