As the fashion industry becomes more and more digital, creatives must find ways to distinguish themselves in a very competitive market. SoFA’s one-semester Certificate Program on Personal Branding and Digital Influencing which focuses on how fashion players navigate the intersection of credibility, expertise, and persuasion in furthering one’s influence in the industry. A deep understanding of oneself and one’s branding and differentiation and the skillful communication of these with the complementary skills of digital marketing and PR, content creation, and visual storytelling helps a creative impress his value to his target market and the fashion industry as a whole.

This course shall be divided into the stages/ modules as the students’ roadmap in building their Personal Brand as follows: 1) Personal Brand Vision that is rooted in their Life Purpose, Passions and Values. 2) Personal Brand Goals & Objectives as manifestations of their Personal Brand Vision. 3) Personal Brand & Industry Audit to ground goals vis-à-vis their current realities. 4) Personal Brand Strategy that will help bridge current realities to reach their goals & objectives. 5) Personal Brand Action Plan that translates their Personal Brand Strategy into actionable steps towards meeting goals. 6) Personal Brand Narrative as the backbone of how they will communicate their Personals Brand 7) Personal Brand Look Book which will serve as the visual translation of their Personal Brand. 8) Personal Band Communication Plan will be the actual implementation of their Personal Brand Narrative. 9) Personal Brand BluePrint will serve as the single document that encapsulates their Personal Brand. This course provides the theories, underpinning knowledge, and practical applications, supported by research to help create, communicate a marketable Personal Brand.


Digital Marketing is an essential tool for creative entrepreneurs especially in a technology-driven era where a powerful brand image can prove to be a potent weapon in disrupting a stale industry. From building up a brand’s reputation & catering to a mobile consumer to decisions over cost-effectivity compared to traditional marketing, this course aims to decode the language of digital marketing for creative business owners and entrepreneurs who are interested in keeping up with digital trends & gaining advantage over the competition.


In the digital age, public relations have evolved significantly, and the traditional online world rules of PR are ineffective in an online world where brands are expected to develop and nurture direct relationships with stakeholders. In addition to building working relationships, this course also highlights the interplay between the art and the science of digital PR by examining its nature, operation, functions, and the various functions used for it. More importantly, it delves into how ethics and creative messaging go hand-in-hand when it comes to creating a responsible practice.


In a fast-paced world where information is best relayed through digital platforms, it is necessary for creatives to be able to create and use content tailor made for their targeted market. This course teaches the fundamentals of content marketing and helps in developing a system to understand the audience to generate content ideas. It also familiarizes creatives on different types of content formats and provides strategies as to how to create stream of fresh content in different digital platforms. More importantly, to exercise the skill of integration, the ideas generated in the process will then be translated and executed into visual narratives that utilize techniques in creating videos and other tools to effectively convey the designer’s message to the intended target customer.
