Explore the multifaceted world of fashion with this comprehensive workshop bundle which includes the following components:

Introduction to Fashion Construction: An introductory course that equips students with basic technical skills of garment making, from pattern drafting to sewing techniques, ensuring your designs are brought to life with precision.

Introduction to Fashion Design: An introductory course that focuses on fashion conceptualization through the SoFA Method. Participants will learn to develop their brand identities by integrating storytelling techniques into their design process. Through hands-on activities and discussions, this course will guide its students in creating a cohesive capsule collection that reflects their brand vision and identity. 

Introduction to Fashion Business: An introductory course that gives insights into the business side of fashion, covering brand development, where participants will learn the key skills necessary to effectively operate a retail brand.  From consumer behavior to a comprehensive line planning strategy based on data analytics, students will be guided in translating fashion designs to sales achievements. An exploration on how technology has disrupted the retail environment and the trend towards integrating physical and virtual shopping experiences.  One will also discover the impact of environmental, social and corporate governance, and the increasing consumer demand for sustainable and ethical fashion.

Introduction to Fashion Construction (Face to Face)

Session 1 - Orientation, Fraction & Body Measurements

Session  2 - Threading & operation of single stitch sewing machine and sewing exercise, edging machine operation

Session  3 - Seam finish & fastener

Session  4 - Pattern making & Fabric cutting of a pencil skirt 

Session  5 - Sewing of a pencil skirt

Session  6 - Finishing of a pencil skirt 

Session  7 - Pattern making of a torso blouse

Session  8 - Fabric cutting of a torso blouse

Session  9 - Sewing of a torso blouse 

Session 10 - Finishing of a torso blouse 

Introduction to Fashion Design (Hybrid)

Session 1 (Tuesday) - Introduction to SoFA Method. Introduction to Art and Fashion. (The art of storytelling)

Session  2 (Saturday) - Presentation of Art chosen art work. Sketching of Mood Sculpture.

Session  3 (Tuesday) - Presentation of Mood Sculpture. Research and sketching of breastplates.

Session  4 (Saturday) - Discussion on Elements of Design. Discussion on different kinds of fashion venues. Brand research and study.

Session  5 (Tuesday) - Discussion on RTW vs Avant Garde. Presentation of Breast plate sketches.

Session  6 (Saturday) - Presentation of final (1) breastplate design

Session  7 (Tuesday) - Introduction to textiles and its role in fashion design.

Session  8 (Saturday) - Presentation of Brand(s).

Session  9 (Tuesday) - Presentation of first draft of 20 sketches. Refining the sketches to final 8 looks.

Session 10 (Saturday) - Presentation of fully rendered capsule collection sketches with swatches.

Session 1 - Introduction to the Fashion Retail Industry (Online)

Session 2 - Line Planning Fundamentals and Production Process (Face to Face)

Session 3 - Business & Data Analytics (Online)

Session 4 - Consumer Behavior (Face to Face)

Session 5 - Fashion Retail Environments (Online)

Session 6 - Environmental, Social & Corporate Governance (Face to Face)

Learn how modern brands balance business goals with environmental and social concerns, and increasing consumer demands for sustainability.

7)  Formulating a Retail Brand: (Online)

Learning from our lectures about the business of fashion retail, the students will make a feasibility study of their own retail brand.  From the philosophical handle of their label/brand, to consumer behavior and product execution, the students will produce a complete brand brief and line planning.

8) Presentation of Fashion Retail Brands by the students: (Face to Face)

Each student will present their own Brand Brief and Feasibility Study.
